Marco Antonio Velasco Martinez (b. in Oaxaca, Mexico) Marco holds a BA Degree in design, drawing and graphic arts at Universidad Mesoamericana, Centro de Artes de San Agustín Etla, Oaxaca and a MA Degree in Fine Arts at UNAM, Mexico City. In 2014 as part of the MA he attended a residency at Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, Spain, where his work has been exhibited. The artist's work has been exhibited in many countries such as Mexico, Austria, Italy and EUA among others.hydropitture, oil, acrylic and oil bars, which always generate new shapes. Each work process begins with in-depth theoretical research; materiality also pops up throughout her work. 

Since 2015 he run an artist-run space called Espacio Pino Suárez which he's the co-founder, a space dedicated to explore the visual arts and He is also part of Estudios Benito Juarez an artists collective in dialog with the contemporary art in Oaxaca City where he currently lives and works. 

The work of Marco Velasco expands from the use of drawing as a medium that allows him to explore and analyse his reality. At the core of his work there are themes such as violence, the political and the personal, creation in collective and our relation to the quotidian.
